According to media reports and youtube channels, a tigress killed four women in a forest in Chandrapur. The women had entered the forest to collect tendu leaves at 5.30 am in the morning and were paid Rs 600 per day. They were not aware that a tigress and her cubs were in the area.
At around 7.30 am, other women leaf collectors heard a loud shout and when they went to the place, they found the dead bodies of 4 women.
They collected other villagers and retrieved the bodies of the women.
Some of the women were taking care of disabled family members while two children were orphaned when their mother died in the attack
